Superbugs are designed for use in fish & shrimp
ponds, lakes, and lagoons where organic odours
and accumulations are a problem. SUPERBUGS
contains naturally occurring beneficial bacteria
that have been selected and produced for their
ability to degrade organic matter and may also
help reduce ammonia levels through a natural
oxidation process. These bacteria digest organic
matter naturally and safely. When added to
water, the bacteria quickly seek out a nutrient
source, which puts them in direct competition
with algae. Through this natural environmental
process, the algae start to diminish, leaving
the Pond/ Lake in clearer and healthier
condition.
-
Controls blue-green pea soupy water.
-
Helps maintain proper
pH and speeds up the natural process of
breaking down waste.
-
Helps eliminate
offensive odours.
-
Works in fresh or salt
water.
-
Safe and beneficial
for fish and plants.
-
Dissolves leftover
food, waste matter, and other decaying
organic matter (sludge).
-
Helps to reduce
biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) making more
dissolved oxygen (DO) available for higher
stocking density and increased growth rates.
-
Helps in the reduction
of ammonia, nitrite, hydrogen sulphide, and
other noxious gasses.
-
Contains a wide
variety of bacteria and enzymes designed to
effectively biodegrade the waste matter
found in most aquatic environments.
APPLICATION:
SUPERBUGS should be
applied weekly or as required when the water
temperature is at least 10 deg C and ideally over
12 deg C.
We recommend that
Superbugs should be applied on a weekly basis to
maintain clean healthy water conditions for your
fish. After using Superbugs once weekly
for 5 weeks you will notice a distinct
improvement in the clarity of your ponds water
and there will be less evidence of sludge build
up.
As Superbugs is a
biological , safe product you must use them for
at least 5 weeks before making a judgment on
their performance. In 1999 Eco-Formula
alone successfully applied Superbugs to over 20
million gallons of water.
This is the product
designed for commercial use now available to Koi
keepers in the U.K. Give it a try - be
amazed at what you've been missing!

Probiotics
PBL-44
is a stable concentrate of ready to use
beneficial bacterial species and proprietary
ingredients in water suspension. PBL-44 is a
dual function formula. First, it assists natural
processes that result in the breakdown of
organic waste to carbon dioxide and water.
Secondly, it colonises the external slime layer
of fresh and salt-water crustaceans and fish. In
this way it acts as an external probiotic that
helps alleviate the harmful effects of transfer
stress. It is also used to add protection to
tropical and ornamental fish prior to shipment.
When aquatic species
are transferred from one environment to another,
their slime layers lose a significant portion of
their natural protective microflora. Exposure to
large numbers of PBL-44 bacteria restores a
healthy microflora. These bacteria compete with
many pathogens, such as Aeromonas and Vibrio
species, which are indigenous to aquatic
environments. PBL-44 significantly reduces the
frequency of disease by these bacterial
pathogens through competitive exclusion.
APPLICATIONS:
- AQUACULTURE
HATCHERY WATER:- Apply 1000 ppm. 48 hours
prior to transfer or 2 consecutive days
after antibiotic treatment. Ensure adequate
aeration.
- KOI PONDS :- Apply
100ml. \ 1000 litres once weekly
- FISH DIP:- Immerse
fish for 15 minutes in a heavily aerated
bath containing 2000ppm. Best following
vaccination, antibiotic treatment or
preceding transportation.
NOTE:
Now available in an economical 4x concentration
for larger applications and regular users.
Optimal storage
temperature: 10 to 21 deg C
PBL-44 is a non-toxic,
viable, microbial culture comprised of naturally
occurring micro-organisms in water suspension.
Wear eye protection, rubber gloves and apron
when using. Avoid contact with eyes and open
wounds rinse contacted areas with water. Wash
hands after using. Store tightly closed in a
cool place out of direct sun.
In order to maintain a
maximum Probiotic presence it is advisable to
apply PBL-44 once weekly. If you are
going to be handling , transporting or
introducing new fish into your system you can
apply Probiotics twice weekly for a few weeks
prior to doing so.
This product is very
fish friendly and when used regularly in
conjunction with Superbugs will make your system
very clean and inhospitable to pathogenic
bacteria.

Nitrifying Bacteria
This is a very concentrated product that
includes Nitrosomonas species to degrade ammonia
and Nitrobacter species to degrade Nitrite.
Our ultra high
concentration will provide aquatic environments
with faster and more positive results when
compared to the much lower concentrations some
other companies are offering.
Bacteria count:
96 Billion CFU / gallon minimum
Nitrifying Bacteria work efficiently under the
following conditions:
- Carbonate Hardness
of >100mg/l .
- Low levels of
dissolved organic matter. ( Less than 50
ppm)
- Low concentrations
of ammonia. ( Up to 2 ppm)
- If ammonia and /
or nitrite levels are higher than 2ppm do a
partial water change.
- A nice steady flow
of water through the filter i.e. no abnormal
restrictions or blockages.
- Temperatures below
29 deg C.
- Plenty of
attachment sights or micro niches.
- High dissolved
oxygen levels. (Above 4ppm)
- Good circulation
of pond detritus. (Nitrifiers grow on
suspended detritus.)
- No poisonous
chemicals. ( Nitrifiers are very sensitive
to antibiotics, residual chlorine,
detergents, etc)
- Low rates of water
exchange. (Less than 20% per day)
- Aerators that
circulate as well as aerate are best.
Nitrifying Bacteria is
particularly useful for the Koi keeper during
early spring when the water temperature is
starting to increase and you're beginning to
feed your fish regularly. It's at this point
that Ammonia or Nitrite levels can increase
fairly quickly and the natural bacteria in your
filter system are not established in high enough
concentrations to be able to degrade these
toxins.
If you find that you
are having Ammonia or Nitrite problems take the
time to try and find out why you have the
problem. Treat the problem and not
just the symptom.
Save yourself the worry
and save your fish the stress - Give your filter
the boost it needs at this time of year or
whenever you are having high Ammonia \ Nitrite
problems.

Tint-It-Blue
BRF-2A TINT-IT-BLUE
is comprised
of a harmless blue dye. TINT-IT-BLUE blocks
ultra-violet rays from reaching the lower
regions of aquatic environments, thus starving
the algae of the sunlight that they thrive on.
TINT-IT-BLUE also turns your water an
aesthetically pleasing shade of sky-blue while
it blocks UV rays. Used in combination with
BRF-1A Superbugs or Superbug ,
TINT-IT-BLUE safely and effectively eliminates
pea-soupy green water. TINT-IT-BLUE is not
harmful to aquatic life or swimmers.
APPLICATION
Use 18ml per
2000litres( 500 gal. approx.) of water in your
pond or lake. Distribute TINT-IT-BLUE uniformly
over the surface of the water. The water colour
should be a light (sky) blue after the
application of BRF-2A. Do not over-dose; as an
over application of BRF-2A can be harmful to
submerged aquatic plants and green growth.
TINT-IT-BLUE is
recommended for ornamental lakes, and is most
effective in water that is deeper than 60cm.
Rubber gloves are recommended in handling this
product in order to avoid discolouring of hands.
If hands should become stained with BRF-2A, wash
in cold water and soap or scouring cleanser,
followed by a little hand-cream. Not meant for
human consumption.
