Blanket Weed Inhibitor by Evolution Aqua is a great solution to prevent the growth of dreaded blanket weed in your pond. Not only does it prevent the growth of blanket weed, but it also prevents reproduction. Unlike other solutions, Blanket Weed Inhibitor contains no copper and increases oxygen availability in your pond. Clear will restore clarity to a pond that contains suspended particles or green water. Any ponds can experience loss of water clarity from time to time. Generally this is caused by algae blooms, beneficial bacteria dying back after a period of reduced feeding or a slight change in pH. A medication of the pond will also have a detrimental effect on the bacteria count. Clear is a totally natural biological product that causes the free floating algae or suspended particles to bind together (flocculate). The filter will then be able to mechanically remove these larger particles from the pond and the pond clarity will be restored. Filter Balance is recommended for use in a garden pond with light stocking and feeding levels and to add to established filters to ensure that the correct balance of beneficial bacteria are maintained or one where the water parameters are suffering slightly. Filter Start dramatically accelerates the colonisation of nitrifying and de-nitrifying bacteria required for correctly maturing your filters in easy to dose tablet form. Filter Start contains the correct balance of several groups of bacteria that are best suited to colonise a new sterile filter in conjunction with a stocked fish pond. This enables stable healthy water conditions to develop therefore a healthier environment for your fish. By Maintaining your filter with the correct balance of beneficial bacteria, you help to ensure that your filter will nitrify to its optimum, (removal of ammonia and nitrite that fish excrete due to respiration and digestion). Phosphates and nitrates will also be reduced, (de-nitrification) which are the main food source for blanket weed and green water.
